New to First
Here are some things to know if you are visiting First Wesleyan for the first time.
Parking : Feel free to park right in front, on the south side of the church, or in the parking lot on the east side of the building.
Entrance: Our main entrance is on the west side of the building. If you park in the east parking lot, feel free to come in the east entrance and proceed up the stairs to your left.
Service: Our normal Sunday morning service begins at 9:00 and runs around an hour in length. We sing both modern choruses and hymns and have a time of teaching from the Bible during each service. We partake of communion on the first Sunday of each month. You do not have to be a member of our church to partake of communion. We have a fellowship time from 10:15-10:30 where we serve coffee and a snack. At 10:30 we begin our various small group studies, with classes for everyone from preschoolers through grandparents.
Dress: On a typical Sunday morning you will find people dressed in jeans and t-shirts, shorts and a polo, or a suit and tie. We hope you come dressed however you feel most comfortable.
Seating: We have a traditional style sanctuary with wooden pew seating. We do not have special sections reserved here for any purpose and you are free to sit wherever you are comfortable.
We hope that you feel genuinely cared about and welcomed at FWC. Most important, we pray that you are able to sense the presence of God and meet with Him.
