The 2 T’s – Time & Tithing – Ephesians 5:15-16 & 2 Corinthians 9:7

15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Sermon Discussion Questions

1. What are some valuable ways to spend our time? What are some wasteful ways we spend our time? Is this okay?

3. Do you like sermons on tithing? Why or why not?
4. Is tithing difficult for you? Has it been easy for you? What causes temptation not to tithe for you?
5. If you were being honest, what is one way that you spend your money frivolously?
6. Might you have a story that tells of God’s faithfulness in your life as you have tithed? Or have you heard a story such as this?
7. Do you think the Biblical command is 10%? Or is there a standard?
8. How do we understand that God owns everything and we are just stewards of the things we “own”?
9. Is it easier for you to be a good steward of your time or money? Why?
